May This May Go By Fast..

Okay, so, there's no question about it. I've been an absolute horrible blogger over the past, well, nine months. I so badly wish that my time could be spent blogging, photographing, and Photoshopping. Buuuut, it's not. Though I only work and go to school half-time, I find myself somehow needing more hours in the day to get things done. It's ridiculous, really. Needless to say, summer is being welcomed with arms wide open from me!
As for the outfit: I love it. I have, for some reason, been obsessed with all things hippy-ish lately. I love it! All I want to do is live near the beach and get a rad tan. Free People has been a huge inspiration for this outfit. Their looks are so simple yet awesome. I'm also really into flared jeans right now. I'm hoping to buy a pair from work soon. Fingers crossed that I'll find a good pair! Oh, and these shoes. I'm dying over them.
Anywayyyyy.. to whoever is reading this, I shall be returning to the blog-universe in the near future.
Enjoy the outfit!

Blousy, not Mousy

I could make so many excuses as to why I've neglected this blog for so long, one of them being that I have to manage another blog for an English class I'm taking (which is not as fun as this).
I can't believe that the last time I posted an outfit was before Christmas! Gosh..
So much has been going on, that time is flying by. I'm quite surprised, actually, because winter months are always the shortest, and here March is nearly here!
Anyway, here's a little outfit. I've been super into blouses lately. They're just so easy to throw on with a pair of skinny leg trousers, or a cute skirt.

Hope you're all well!

Photo Diary: Winter Days

So, yeah. I've been absent a while. Oops.
Here are some photos from the last couple months to fill in this little black hole of blogging :)

To begin with, I was in Southern California for Christmas. It was lovely, and my whole family was there, including my mom's three sisters.
While in Southern California, we ate near the beach and it was delicious. We also had lots of laughs.

Alas, Christmas break couldn't last forever, so we came home and I celebrated New Year's Eve with my best friend and her sister. I also attempted be be an earlier worker-outer and dragged Anneliese along with me (bottom right photo).
Are you seeing a theme with my photos? So much coffee! I also spent lots and lots of time with my friend Alissa. She's real great. We had Disney movie night with her husband and my brother.

Also in January was my 30 day Paleo challenge. Oh boy, was it hard, but it felt so good. I made yummy cookies.
Before my besht fwiend went back to school, we went to take photos and got caught in the rain (top left). We were a mess. I did some good/hard work-outs, got my hair cut, and worked on my portfolio.

I did more work on my portfolio (top left), and it took a while. Finally, I finished.. I got to Skype with one of my dearest friends from school (top right). We also threw a baby shower for a good friend, and we found out that Foster the People was nominated for 2 Grammys!

For Super Bowl Sunday, we threw a party. It was lots of fun! Also that week, I ate lots of sushi and put my hair in fishtails.

Next we found out that Foster the People was PLAYING the Grammys! I had some much needed time with my friend Sarah, bought a shirt with bunnies on it, and watched my friend's little boy look adorable "playing" racquet ball"

Last weekend, friends came up to visit and surprised my little brother! We went and swung on a rope swing in the field, and went to a real yummy coffee shop.

We also stopped by Arnold's old house (the capitol), and had some fun adventures.

And last, but not least, last Sunday we watched Foster the People play the Grammys. It was an amazing thing to see my brother play on television, let alone an award show.. As for Valentine's day, I had a pretty good work out (bottom left), and some cute Valentine's dates (bottom right). I also had a darn good latte on Thursday after doing a mound of homework.

That's about it! I hope I didn't bore you! But then again, if I did, it's your fault for not ditching this post before you even got here!

Have a good Sunday night!

I Go, I Go

In terms of working out, I haven't "gone" in a while.
Once my semester at school started, working out just wasn't in my routine of things. Neither was healthy food (oops). Neither of these benefitted me, I might add.
Now that I'm home, I'm working out as much as possible and trying to take as much advantage as I can of the nourishing food my mom makes.
So here's to working out, my friends!

Love always,
-A
P.S.- 7 months later and Foster the People is still the best work out music. Get on it, okay?

In Her Shoes

Okay, guys, let's get this one thing straight: my mom is a total babe.
Along with being super adorable, she has awesome taste in clothes! Over Thanksgiving break, I was in the kitchen with her and all of a sudden realized that she's like, 20 times more trendy than I am. I love it.
She loves drap-ey sweaters, chunky necklaces, skinny jeans, and most of all...HEELS.
With that being said, she's also an amazing mom, and my ultimate best friend. I can't wait to go home and spend countless hours watching girly movies, shopping, and doing crafty things.

Hugs and air kisses (because it's cold season)!

Baby It's Cold Outside

I've clearly been gone for a while in the world of Blogger. My life has been all-consumed with school, homework, working (which is making coffee for people, which is far too enjoyable to be called work), and sleeping. I need more of the sleeping in my life.
Soon, though! I have exactly 11 days left in the semester.
Oh, how I want those days to fly by! But alas, when we want things to come fast, they tend to come slow. So I'm trying to distract myself by enjoying the final moments of the semester.
That being said, I've taken it upon myself to enjoy all things fallish and festive; these things may or may not include lattés (I tried a superb Pumpkin one today), walks around campus in the overcast weather, listening to sweet-sounding music (The Civil Wars as of late), and wearing cozy things...
I have to say, shorts with tights have a special place in my heart. They're like, kind of amazing. Especially with a good pair of shorts (I prefer my Levi's from Urban Outfitters that I got for $5 last year). Wow, lots of parenthese-worthy things to talk about today, eh?
Anyway, I love good winter clothes. I also need more of them. Ha!

Until next time,

Autumn in New York

Hello, friends...
It's nearing the end of September, and there's barely been a glimpse of fall weather.
It's making me a nervous wreck, here!
I just want to wear sweaters, and scarves, and ankle boots! Is that too much for a girl to ask?
The good news is, in 2 1/2 short weeks, I'm going to New York!
I can't wait to see my sister, and spend time walking around the city (and eating yummy food) with my best friend.

Much love,
-A

P.S.- Yes, this outfit may look familiar. It's a bit of a different take on this
